FAQ
Do you health test?
DNA - All of our breeding dogs are genetically health tested, we go through Embark and Paw Print Genetics. This is a very important step to ensure we don't pair dogs that could pass genetic diseases down to pups.
Heart, Eyes, Patella - Not only does our veterinarian fully examines our breeding dogs to ensure they are in top condition for breeding, we also have them OFA certified for cardiac, eyes and patella where recommended by breed standards (minis)
Hips & Elbows - Our breeding dogs are OFA certified for hips & elbows and or PennHIP. We must also emphasize a puppy's environment plays a huge role in the risk of developing hip dysplasia and other joint issues that we are not completely confident that a scan or certification guarantees a decreased risk of joint problems. Age appropriate exercise and maintaining optimal body condition is the best way to minimize risk of joint health.
